Become a TPWD Certified Angler Education Instructor.
This free workshop is open to anyone 18 or older interested in learning and teaching fishing skills in their communities. From 4:00 to 6:00 there is an optional add on Fly Fishing Instructor certification for those interested in staying.
We provide all equipment and materials for the workshop. After certification, the program provides the curriculum, equipment (where available), materials and support to help you successfully introduce others to fishing. Ideal for fishing clubs, teachers, scout or youth group leaders, Parks and Recreation center staff, after school or camp staff and community volunteers. TEA-approved CPE credit is available for teachers.
