Look to the skies during peak hawk migration.

Keep an eye on the sky for birds of prey migrating by the hundreds. A little cooperation from the weather can mean large numbers of hawks and other birds of prey flying over Tyler State Park to their southern wintering grounds. 

Learn about the bird of prey species that call East Texas home and the ones that are just traveling through. 

Bring binoculars, a chair, sunscreen, water, snacks (or lunch), and keep a sharp eye on the sky. 

This is a come-and-go event. Stay as short or as long as you like. We'll keep watching for hawks all day.
