Come out to Penn Farm to explore the lives of the farmers who made North Texas their home!

Living life on the Texas prairie was always an adventure! People persevered through the North Texas winds and summer heat without all the creature comforts we have today. Come out for this ranger-led program as we explore the lives of the first farmers to inhabit what is now known as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and investigate the lives of the Penn family and their farm. This walk will be about 0.6 miles along the Penn Farm trail.

When: Saturday, August 20, 2022 from 8:00am-9:30am

Where: Penn Farm

Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.

Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
