It’s a pouf! It’s a fluff ball! It’s a feathery orb! No, it’s a bird that is very ready for the winter weather!
The birds have migrated south, and they are here to stay as we dip into cooler temperatures. Join us with Trinity River Audubon Center’s Program Manager, Jake Poinsette, as we search for the birds, fluffier and rounder than usual, that have chosen Cedar Hill State Park as their winter home.

Where: Talala Trailhead
Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.
Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!
Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
