Join us for our volunteer clean up day at the Isle du Bois Unit as we recover from the tornado that hit the park.

Want to help get the park back to normal?
Our new normal may consist of a few less trees, but we are almost there! Now is the time we could use a final rally from our friends of the park... THAT'S YOU!

We will be trimming, removing debris, collecting tree debris, putting debris in dumpsters, trail maintenance, etc. This will all be manual labor.

When:
- September 21st - Saturday - 7AM-12PM

Meet:
-Parking/Meeting Location = Hawthorne Camp loop parking lot.

Who:
- REGISTRATION is REQUIRED if you plan to attend this event.
- To register, email Mindy.shumate@tpwd.texas.gov with the name of each participants joining in your group by September 17th.

Bring:
- Reusable water bottle and lots of water
- Loppers
- Hand sheers
- Leather/work gloves
- Dress for field conditions and weather, including boots, hat, sunscreen, long sleeve and long pants preferred, etc.

Cost:
- This is considered a volunteer opportunity and entrance fees are waived for registered participants.
- Let Headquarters staff know you are a volunteer when you arrive(They will have a list of registered volunteer names)
