Living life on the Texas prairie was always an adventure!

People persevered through the North Texas winds and summer heat without all the creature comforts we have today. Join Ranger Cody Tatum for this program as we explore the lives of the first farmers to inhabit what is now known as the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex and investigate the lives of the Penn family and their farm. This walk will be about 0.6 miles along the Penn Farm trail.

When: Sunday, April 28th, 2024 from 2:00pm-4:00pm

Where: Penn Farm

Bring: Water, and a snack if you need one.

Wear: Good shoes for walking and dress for the weather!

Cost: Free with a $7 per person park entry fee or presentation of a TPWD Annual Park Pass. Children 12 and under are free to enter the park.
